Penny Black Victorian Tearoom was established in 2018 and is now owned by the Srivastav Family, bringing to life our vision to create a unique hospitality venue in Christchurch. ​ Step back to the year 1897, the year of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, with all its accompanying etiquette and style. Penny Black serves light breakfast and lunch, morning and afternoon teas, cakes and beverages that recall a time gone by, when ‘taking tea' in a fine establishment was an occasion.
